About the Role
We are looking for a Game Mathematician to drive the mathematical design of our products, from initial concept to final balance and delivery. We need someone with strong expertise who can bring fresh mathematical patterns and innovative mechanics from traditional game development into the iGaming industry, moving away from outdated conventions.
Responsibilities
- Design mathematical models for slot games and other RNG products: calculation of paytables, win distributions, RTP, volatility, hit rate, bonus hit rate, and jackpot contribution.
- Prepare detailed mathematical documentation (PAR-sheets, math specs) and maintain it up to date throughout the entire game development lifecycle.
- Write and run simulations in Python, C#, or other languages to validate models and compare actual performance metrics with theoretical calculations.
- Work closely with game designers and product owners: translate game concepts into formal mathematical requirements, selecting target RTP and volatility profiles.
- Analyze live game performance data: RTP deviations, win distributions, big win events, player behavior — and propose data-informed improvements.
- Conduct market research: deconstruct the math of competitor titles, prepare comparative reports, and propose competitive solutions.
- Participate in the game certification process: prepare math specs for test labs and respond to technical queries from regulators.
- Take part in brainstorms for new games and features, offering mathematically feasible and engaging mechanics for players.
- Manage the math model of a game or game line end-to-end: from initial concept through operations and post-release analysis.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a Game Mathematician in slot games (hands-on model development).
- Deep knowledge of probability theory, mathematical statistics, and combinatorics.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets.
- Practical programming experience (Python, C#, Java, etc.) for writing simulation scripts.
- Strong understanding of key metrics (RTP, house edge, volatility, hit frequency).
- Higher degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
Nice to Have
- Experience with specific mechanics (Megaways, Cluster Pays, crash, live casino).
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements (MGA, UKGC, GLI, etc.) and experience with game certification.
- Understanding of product analytics (LTV, retention, bet size distribution) and game design skills.
- English level B1+.
What We Offer
- Remote work format .
- Opportunity to work on brand-new games from scratch.
- Minimal bureaucracy and a real chance to directly impact the final product.
